CTM (Centre for Molecular Analysis) – dedicated to applied research on the evaluation and use of animal and plant genetic resources


GEPE (Centre for Studies and Projects in Applied Ecology) – provides information and assessments for environmental impact studies, habitat and ecosystem monitoring and rehabilitation, and environmental planning

  

  

 

 
NEXT GENERATION SEQUENCING (New-Gen)

InBIO’s new generation genomics platform, funded by the Capacities Programme (FP7) and based at CIBIO, Campus Agrário de Vairão, allows the performance of rigorous genomics studies, contributing to the advancement, projection and competitiveness of Portuguese scientific research at an international level.

  

 

 

 

 

 
 
BUSINESS & BIODIVERSITY

Under this initiative, with the general goal of engaging the private sector in an active and consistent contribution towards biodiversity conservation, InBIO provides SCIENTIFIC CONSULTING to many public and private companies, seeking to improve their environmental performance.

 

 

 
KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER

Keeping in mind the importance of contributing to disseminate cutting-edge scientific knowledge to stakeholders and decision makers in government agencies, InBIO works in closely with various state institutions in the fields of ANIMAL GENETIC RESOURCES, ASSESSMENT OF BIODIVERSITY PATTERNS in selected areas included in either terrestrial or freshwater ecosystems, and FOREST FIRE PREVENTION.
